THE 2014 GOALS

THIS BLOG AND MY COLLECTING GOALS FOR 2014.

THIS BLOG WILL BE MORE ACTIVE AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK, AND WILL CONTAIN PICTURES, LOTS OF PICTURES!

AS FOR COLLECTING, SIMPLY PUT TO GET AS MANY NEEDED ELWAYS AS I CAN, OF COURSE STILL HAVEN'T HIT THE MILESTONE OF 1500 UNIQUE, BUT THAT SHOULD BE A BREEZE IN 2014.

SEE YOU A LITTLE OVER A WEEK.

This is just a TEST to try and post a pic of cards.

i still havent been able to change the setting on my scanner to only show the cards, instead of the entire flatbed.

These are no longer in existence. I opened them as noted in a previous post.

I got three of these, the dark blue, this red one, and a whole complete carton (less the milk)

I think I ve got the adding pics, now to work on the scanner

much better start this month

The Elways' are definitely off to a better start in December than the last few months. 5 Days in and thus far have traded for 5 new editions to the collection (will be 1351). Now to just get them in. I hope that this trend continues and maybe, just maybe have a chance at the 1500 mark that i set at the beginning of the year.
A couple of trips to the local flea market and  to a card shop certainly can't hurt. We'll see what the weekend brings.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE More John Elway

Yes Please, may I have some Elway cardboard.

I tried very hard to focus on adding to the SUPER COLLECTION but November only brought 17 new additions of unique Elway cards. I was able to add a couple of oddball items, a book, and a vintage mag cover. My goal is still to hit that infamous 1500 by years end, although it now seems improbable, but still possible.

I now have 1346 unique Elway cards, only 4400 more to obtain (apx). I am begging now, please let go of those Elways cards, you don't really want them, LOL.

Most of the cards I need are not high end, most that is. Of course there is overwhelming number of 1/1s out there. I feel blessed to have as many of them as I already do, including the proof from the Topps vault that was added in November. I need a tremendous amount of base cards from the last decade. I have my Elway needs listed in "my organize" on the Beckett website. It's free to check it out so please please please do.

My user id is   jfmjr1. I have a lot of cards available to trade, especially baseball, and vintage too. I just dumped about 8,000 basketball, just kidding I traded them for half of the Elways I got in November plus some really cool vintage (50s) Braves cards.

email me  jfmjr1@aol.com..     check out a not so updated Elway want list here:

BOO! More like (Boo Hoo)

Well, Halloween has passed and no I didn't even have 1 piece of candy. But, more importantly another month of trading cards has also passed. The month started out slow and finished that way as well hence the boo hoo.

I did manage to close on 63 deals, which most were for my Atlanta Braves collectionS (there are 2), but I did squeeze in a few Elway cards as I mentioned in a previous post several of which were (and still are) SP cards that are awesome.

I needed to make a few trades to get a card or two that took away from my PC, but did it.

We finished October with The Super Collection for John Elway standing at 1329 unique cards (along way from the 1400 that I had hope to hit), with 900 + dupes (489 uniques dupes), 21 figures, 16 plates, 34 magazine covers (2 vintage dupes).

I so bad want to hit 1500 unique Elway cards before the end of this year, as always please lmk if you have any that you are willing to part with. I need over 3,400 ( a lot of newer base cards ) obviously 1/1s and some inserts.

An Elway Update

Trading for Elway has been on the slow side this month as far as card volume goes.  I have picked up a few very short printed cards. Quality cards are always a plus for a "Super Collection".

This month:   A SIC serial numbered 5/5 Century Gold from the 2009 National Treasures, 2 printing plates 1/1s, a beautiful 2012 Spectrum Hall Worthy serial #d 70/100, several serial  #d /25 cards, a set of mini magnetic bobbles, a few magazine covers, and other odd ball items.

All in all we took the "collection" from 1275 unique cards, 20 figures, 31 covers (mags), 16 plates, and 28 other items to....................

3014 unique, 34 covers, My first 2 Elway autos (1 in a book), 20 figures, 16 plates (complete), 33 others.

With the half way point of the month now past, I look foward to focusing back on Elway, as I have been predominantly gathering Atlanta Braves cards for special project, that ended up adding Hawks, and Falcons too. Whew....

As always if you have any John Elway that you'd like to trade, just shoot me an email, if I need them, I want them.

John Elway Master checklist

For nearly ten years, I have tried and tried to find a Master checklist online (Becketts' is egh so so). I have finally did one myself. It is much easier to follow and find the cards you need. Follow the link below, it will take you to my trading card site, and land you on the Elway Master checklist page. The cards are listed in year groups. 1980's, 1990-1995, 1996-1997, 1998-1999, etc.... They are all in word documents. NICE. They also have NM pricing with them. I hope this list helps you. My site also has "my Elway dupes" page. Maybe we can trade, swap some cardboard.

I need any of the cards that are NOT in BOLD.

Who wants to trade John Elway?

Are you looking to get rid of the stack of Elway cards? I'm the guy, I'll take them. Albeit I have most of John's base cards from 1984-2004, mainly high end stuff from 2005 to present , but very little of that in itself. I am looking to get them all. That's close to 6,000 cards alone, plus I would like all the cover magazines, front page papers, books, oddities, anything. If he is on it or it is about him chances are I want it. I have a MASTER list of What I have and need, not mention tons of other stuff I have to trade. Speaking of trading, if you too collect Elway I have about 700 dupes!, not just base cards either, check out the dupes list on my site, link below.  Thanks for the read.
